Polling concludes for 7th phase of DDC elections in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, polling for the 7th phase of the District Development Council concluded peacefully.  By One PM Overall, of 47.43 %per cent votes had been cast in the Union Territory. Impressive turn out of voters was seen in Jammu Division where 59.90%  electorate had exercised their franchise by  1 P.M.  In Kashmir 32.41%polling was recorded upto 01:00 pm.
 
 In Kashmir Valley  Bandipora district recorded  58.78%  followed  by Baramulla  at 49.50%  and  Kupwara  with 42.19% while in Jammu division Poonch  district  recorded 69.92 % polling followed by Samba district  with  64.90% and Rajouri district with  61.38%.
 
Voting took place in 31 DDC constituencies in this phase. Of this 13 were in Kashmir valley and 18 in Jammu division.  A total of 6,87,115 voters were eligible to cast their votes to decide the fate of 298 candidates including 72 female candidates.
